We all respond differently to exercise, nutrition and insulin. What works for me may not work for you.

The science

When you want to dive deeper, understanding what happens inside a T1D body under sporting and exercise conditions can help. I found this helped increase my enjoyment of sports, explain some weird blood glucose results, and improve my performance by developing and adjusting my training plans.
